My opinion still stands. Because all he did was mess about with pics from Win 8 and organized it to look pretty. So therefore uncreative. I highly doubt he (she?) worked with Microsoft to make it. Honestly, I think the app screen is kind of copycatting Apple.
Also, it's in the category "web interfaces". A user interface isn't necessarily for the internet. I can use my computer just fine without the internet. He basically decided to copy Windows 8 to make a site layout of some kind. Or make a "lets make a new user interface for people to install on their PCs and fuck them up! Yeaaaaah~!" Because downloading a whole new interface will prolly do just that.
I did read. It's you who did not. In the style of it or not, he's COPYING it. Making this UNORIGINAL. It's like copying an anime/cartoon style. Not original. Sonic recolors; unoriginal. You get the idea.
Why do you have to argue about it like all the other dumb people on the internet? You're just making yourself look stupid, who freakin' cares. This is his/her work and they can make it look however they want. Who cares if they copied the metro style, thats how artists learn, by taking ids from other styles and incorporating it into their own.
I'm sorry but you're kinda dumb... You can clearly see that this is not just a copy/paste of Windows 8 as you claims. It's just the same style as Microsofts "Metro" design. I guess you're also saying everyone who makes a rounded buttons and is using White backgrounds or something that looks like aluminium is just copying Macs OS X? Get real.
one thing I love about Metro UI is its simple design. No bevels, no drop shadows, no shiny glints, not even fancy textures. Just solid colors, subtle gradients and an occasional glow. Yes, nothing to distract you in finding which one to click or read.
Well here's my question to you: Why the hell do you use bold all the time? If your answer is anything but "Because I want to" or "Mind your own business", then you have broken all logic's of the internet.
- It looks more attractive in my opinion. There aren't rules to the internet, but there is such a thing as common sense, courtesy, thinking before you speak, and not being horrible to people passively. Saying that people should die for their operating system is also immoral. Logics isn't a word, sweety-pie. It's nice to see you tried to change the subject to try and better yourself in this conversation though.
